We have not at this stage considered the matter
at all closely, but we would be grateful for your views on the suggestion. The selection of such a candidate would presumably have to be left to the authorities in China, and in this connection I may mention that members of the Board of Trustees for the administration of the Boxer Indemnity Fund have taken a good deal of interest in the Hong Kong Refugee Students and have formed a Hong Kong University
Relief Committee in Chungking.
